Law & Order: SVU Season 22 Episode 7 revolves around a serial rapist that hit the Bronx six times before SVU got looped in.

When a woman is raped in her apartment, SVU quickly discovers that there have been six rapes just like this one in the Bronx, but they have not been notified. Benson makes a visit to her old friend, Lieutenant Berek, who is now in charge of Bronx SVU.

At first, Berek wants them to back off and let her department handle the case alone, but quickly backs down when Benson invokes Garland's name. Her lead detective, Ari Muldivan, is not so cooperative and gets into a shoving match with Fin at the scene of another rape.

Garland is displeased and orders Berek and Benson to create a joint task force. Several rapes later, the alleged rapist runs from the cops, and Muldivan shoots him. Rollins has her doubts about the shooting being justified but keeps them to herself.

The perp has an alibi for two of the rapes and the Manhattan victim cannot voice ID him. Kat thinks copycat, but with the case having been kept out of the press, how is that possible?

Law & Order: SVU Season 22 Episode 7 Quotes

Benson: You're new to SVU. We like to coordinate.
Berek: Look, Deputy Chief Garland was very clear what my job was. To build up trust in the Bronx. We bring Manhattan in, there goes morale.
Benson: There's a rapist out there. Shouldn't that be our priority?

Kat: Vic still in the apartment?
Uniform: She didn't want to leave. I didn't argue. That's your job.
