Law & Order: SVU Season 22 Episode 14 follows up on a disturbing story from the past.

Henry Messner, the little boy who terrorized his family and community in 2013, has convinced three psychiatrists and a judge that he is no longer a danger to anyone. He is released and immediately attacks a woman, kills his family, and messes with Rollins' daughter.

The cops arrive at a bloody scene where Henry's family has been killed, including his five-year-old stepbrother. They find out that Ruby is safe at a friend's house and go to talk to her and her friend. Ruby is upset that Henry killed her little brother. Why did anyone let him out?

Things escalate quickly when Henry attacks the family Ruby is staying with and kidnaps her. Rollins realizes that Henry has taken her to an amusement park. She tracks Henry to the funhouse and goes in without backup even though she's supposed to wait.

Rollins talks Henry into letting Ruby go but has to hold the cops off while she talks Henry into surrendering peacefully. Eventually she does it but tells Benson he needs to be locked up permanently.
