When you watch Marry Me Season 1 Episode 1, you'll be introduced to Jake and Annie. They've been dating for six long years, and Annie is ready for him to propose. After returning from a trip, Annie rants about his failure to propose unaware that he's kneeling behind her with a ring, and all their friends and family are hiding. Annie is humliated once she relaizes her error. Annie must make amends with Jake, but in trying to do so just messes everything up. Throughout the episode, there are a couple of flashbacks highlighting how these two met and why they want to be together. Jake and Annie make up, and they finally get the proposal right. However, they can't celebrate until Annie apologizes to their friends and family, whom she insulted during her tirade at the first botched proposal.
