Hook runs to stop Emma from giving up her powers to the Sorcerer's hat but Mr. Gold stops him. Gold has already gotten rid of his voicemail confession. Elsa manages to get to Emma and convince her that the only way to control her powers is to accept them. When she does, her powers come under control. Outside, Mr. Gold is upset his plan didn't work but he has another. One of the things he needs to be free of the dagger is a heart from someone who knew him before he was the Dark One. The only person who knew him then was Hook. He takes Hook's heart and says he will force him to do his bidding and get more magic for the hat before he finally kills him.

The Snow Queen magically puts her ribbon bracelets on Emma and Elsa's wrists. They can't get them off and feel the ribbons siphoning their powers. Now that they've both embraced their powers, the ribbons will allow the Snow Queen enough power to cast her Shattered Sight spell over all of Storybrooke.
