Emma finally returns home and continues her charade that she's getting better. As she unpacks her things she finds a moldy sandwich in one of her drawers, food she hid to avoid eating before she ended up in the hospital. It turns out her grandmother was also anorexic but her mother chose to keep that information from her because she felt it gave Emma permission to be damaged. Devastated, Emma ends up passed out on her bathroom floor.

Kare and Leo ditch the hospital as they're both upset, Leo about Emma leaving the hospital and Kara when she hears Hunter agree to leave with his parents. After spending the afternoon bonding, they end up having sex in her car. Little does Kara know that Hunter's new liver came through.

Jordi agrees to a risky surgery but the social worker won't allow it. There's nothing he can do to change the decision until his emancipation paperwork is processed only he doesn't have the filing fee. So Jordi decides to sell pain killers in order to come up with the funds
