Kirsten is still trying to figure out why Ed would leave her a cassette tape. She finally listens to the tape all the way through and realizes there's a secret code in the tape. Unfortunately, she isn't able to crack the code herself, so she enlists Linus for help. He's able to eventually figure out what the code means and it turns out they are map coordinates which lead Kirsten to her mom's tomb. At the tomb, Kirsten is still trying to figure out what Ed wanted her to remember when she has a flashback of putting flowers in a vase at her mom's tomb site and Ed mentions Kirsten can touch her mom's picture if she wanted. Kirsten hesistates, but touches her mom's picture, which opens a secret compartment that has a key. Meanwhile, the team works on solving the murder of a young woman named Danielle who was involved in brain experiments. After Kirsten is stitched into Danielle's memories, she realizes Danielle was killed because the brain device the doctor was using wasn't working and the doctor was afraid Danielle would expose him. Kirsten breaks into the doctors office and explains to his assistant what she thinks happened, but is surprised when the assistant knocks her over the head. Both the doctor and his assistant were involved in the murder of Danielle because they don't want to lose funding. The doctor is convinced he can get it to work and uses Kirsten as his guinea pig. He cranks the machine up to full blast and Kirsten is overwhelmed by the various memories coming at her. Before anything terrible can happen, Cameron, Camille and Linus all come in and save Kirsten from getting hurt any further. Don't feel bad if you missed out!
