The Good Doctor Season 4 Episode 13 is all about connection.

Shaun's excitement about having the baby is dampened by two things: Lea's constant morning sickness and his medical knowledge that the baby isn't a baby yet. He feels disconnected from Lea and the baby and doesn't know what to do. When he tries to tell Lea, she calls him selfish.

Glassman thinks Shaun should stop hiding in work and be there for Lea and the baby. He did the same thing when his wife was pregnant and we all know what happened to his daughter.

Meanwhile, Asher and Shaun work with a dancer who has a rare blood disease and needs to either have her leg amputated or have a dangerous procedure to save it. She wants to save her leg because she's in love with her best friend, who is not in love with her and who Asher thinks is gay.

Finally, Claire's long-absent father shows up on her doorstep and promptly collapses. It turns out he has terminal cancer, but Claire is reluctant to restart any type of relationship with him including a professional one.
