The Good Doctor Season 4 Episode 7 revolves around change.

When a man comes into the hospital with strange symptoms, Shaun and Morgan quickly learn that he has altered his DNA in an attempt to increase his lifespan. Shaun thinks it's a stupid thing to do but the man is wedded to the idea, so much so that he is willing to live with any sort of pain as long as it allows him to live a thousand years.

Shaun wonders how people can want to be together for long periods of time and his fear is exacerbated by the fact that Lea casually lets slip she has an ex, who she clearly was in love with once but never thinks about anymore.

Meanwhile, Claire has two dilemmas: a patient who is prone to getting all sorts of cancers because of a genetic mutation and is worried about the toll her illness will take on her husband; and Enrique wanting to get to know her.

Claire doesn't want to date a first year resident, but Enrique insists it isn't a date. He's polyamorous and doesn't believe in labeling relationships.
