Debbie encourages Tom and Carol to finally formalize their divorce after they argue over finances, and Tom's spending. Nathan is vehemently opposed because his family, even in this fractured state, is actually the best its ever been. Tom and Carol decide it's time to consciously uncouple. But when they get ready to sign the paperwork, they both get a nasty surprise: it's a no-fault divorce. Both blame each other for the divorce and decide to stay married until the other one accepts blame. Carol moves back in with Tom at Debbie's house while she and her family retreat to Nathan's home. 24 hours later, Nathan and Debbie see how their parents are doing and find them in bed together. They decide to give their marraige another try, against everyone's wishes. Kip hosts the Wrongly Wed Game to prove how poorly matched they are and they lose spectacularly against Debbie and Adam and Nathan and Ray.
