Jake investigates Terence more and finds out his previous wife died under odd circumstances which causes red flags to start going on with Laura, but the most surprising moment comes when it turns out Isabelle faked her death to escape Terence. Laura is able to track Isabelle down and she finds out Isabelle faked her death because it was the only way she was able to get away from her abusive husband. She also confirms that Terence basically admitted to killing his first wife and said he planned to do the same thing to her. In the end, Laura takes this information and is able to figure out where Terence buried his first wife's body.
