This Is Us Season 4 Episode 13 revolves around Kate.

The preschool version of Kate makes up a story with Jack about a princess in the forest who is searching for her Mommy.

Meanwhile, the college age Kate has problems with her boyfriend. She invites Marc to Rebecca's birthday, but he's reluctant to go because he thinks Randall and Kevin hate him. He agrees to go anyway, but the next day he's mad at Kate because she looked more knowledgeable than him at the record store.

Kate fights with Marc and then Rebecca insists they go to coffee with him. When Marc arrives, he's all upset and says he quit the record store. Later, Kate gets in a fight with Rebecca because Rebecca doesn't want her to go to the cabin with Marc, and things go from bad to worse when Marc and Kate get into a fight in the car and Marc starts driving too fast, scaring Kate.

Meanwhile, Toby is reluctant to go to a retreat for parents of blind kids so Kate goes with Rebecca instead. Kate and Rebecca bond and Rebecca tells Kate about her memory problems. But when they come home, things are awkward for Kate and Toby.
