An orange VW bug pulls up from the rear while a zombie roadblock greets the gang up ahead. It's a setup, the zombies are chained to the ground and a gang threatens our heroes with guns. They want the truck, and rather than risk a shoot out Garnett agrees. The thieves take off with the truck but are thoughtful enough to leave their junker behind. A bit further up the road, an innocent looking family kills the thieves and takes the truck for themselves in a surprising turn of events. However, the family is soon eaten by Z's leaving Garnett and company with their old truck again. "We gotta get off this road" Garnett says. Back at Northern Light, Citizen Z is going through his database files and he eventually looks up Addy Carver's social media profile. The guy is lonely and her status says "single," so what can you do? Let the crushin' begin! Garnett and his team contact Citizen Z via a drive through camera. He immediately recognizes/confirms Murphy is alive. Our survivors are in need of some form of alternate transport. Citizen Z points them toward McLean, Virginia about 20 clicks away. At what's left of the Emergency Headquarters for Infection Control they will find a chopper. Fantastic, that should certainly get them to California quicker right? They arrive to find everyone's dead at the base, it's been overrun. A sentry greets them, says the General has a chopper but only Doc is allowed upstairs. The General, himself, is wounded and gangrene has set in. Doc tells him the Z virus will soon take over. The General doesn't like the diagnosis and dumps Doc down an air shaft. Right next to a chomping Z too. The survivors hear Doc's screams and decide to go get him. After fighting their way through several Z's, a hulking zombie soldier appears and the only way to take him down is by pulling his grenade pin and tossing him in the airshaft... unfortunately Doc was in that very same air shaft. When our heroes finally meet the General, he proves to be insane. What's a chopper with no helicopter blades? The thing is pure junk. The General is attacked by zombie and takes a tumble down the side of the building. Somehow Doc survived that grenade explosion. Everyone's happy, now on to the next adventure.
