In Nebraska, the survivors are dehydrated after a couple of days with no water. As a herd of millions of zombies (or a zunami as Citizen Z calls it) rushes through town our heroes manage to seek shelter inside a building. They find themselves trapped in a morgue with Z's outside waiting to make a meal out of them. The doors won't hold for long, the only option is to lock themselves in the morgue drawers. At the Northern Light base Citizen Z befriends Yuri, but the Cosmonaut keeps asking what's wrong with the dog. Citizen Z's dog has not moved since the fireball though he is breathing lightly. What's different about today Simon? the man asks. Hearing his name surprises Citizen Z. How could this stranger know his name? He begins to get suspicious of his new friend. Back in Nebraska with everyone inside a drawer and Roberta inside a body bag, the Z's break into the room. Naturally, they walk past Murphy who leaves the room. He notices a reflection from a window in the building above and heads up there. Murphy finds a family in one of the rooms and robs them of all their supplies. He later allows a Z inside the building to finish them off. In the Arctic, things between Citizen Z and Yuri escalate until it becomes clear to him that the Cosmonaut is all in his mind. He has been suffering from oxygen deprivation. Once he fixes the situation his dog wakes up. Though it appeared Murphy would walk right past the mortuary, he returns with food and water for his friends. They are greatful and happy. Roberta even raises a toast in his name. "you may be the mission, but today you became our friend. Thank you." If only they knew where the food came from.
