Batman: The Animated Series
Batman is widely considered one of the best animated series of all time and has even won four Emmy awards, including one for Outstanding Animated Program. It received praise for its artistic animation, darker themes, and its realistic depiction of violence. The show incorporated well known characters from the comics, but also introduced new villains such as Red Claw, Baby-Doll, and perhaps its best known invention, Harley Quinn.

X-Men
The X-Men animated series incorporated its own original stories, but also touched on storylines that stemmed from the comics as well. It centered on the conflict between humans and mutants and dealt with various social issues including prejudice, intolerance, divorce, and the AIDS crisis.

The Tick
Cult classic, The Tick, appealed to children and adults alike with its parodied super hero premise and absurdist themes. The Tick's trusted crew included Die Fledermaus, Sea Urchin, American Maid, and of course the brains of the operation, his sidekick, Arthur. And who can forget the Tick's famous battlecry, "Spoon!!"
