After his character was presumed dead for a year, Fumero returned to the show on November 5, 2004.
Fumero was born in Havana, Cuba, and raised in Miami. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps and later traveled the world as a model, also studying at the International Actors Studio in Paris. Music fans will remember Mr. Fumero from the Mariah Carey video Honey.
