Kent King joined the cast in December 2005 as Dr. Lainey Winters.
Born in Los Angeles, the actress was discovered when she was a child, tagging along with her mother, a former actress who spent many years behind the nurses' station on this same show It wasn't long before King landed a guest spot on the ground-breaking series Hill Street Blues, which then led to a five-year run on the drama Knots Landing.
King earned a degree in Cinema-Television from the University of Southern California (USC).
