Shay Mitchell is the product of Filipino mother and Irish/Scottish father. She's a native of Toronto, Canada.

Mitchell started her career by being picked at an open casting call by an international modeling agency. After traveling the world in this job, she took on bit parts in TV shows such as DeGrassi: The Next Generation.

Shay loves to dance and began taking lessons at the age of five.
