Sex Education Trailer: Experience Is Overrated!
Paul Dailly at .Netflix is dialing up the awkward for its new dramedy, Sex Education.
The streamer has dropped the official trailer for the upcoming series, and it looks more engaging than I thought it would be based on the logline.
"Surrounded by manuals, videos and tediously open conversations about sex, Otis is a reluctant expert on the subject," reads the official logline.

"When his home life is revealed at school, Otis realizes that he can use his specialist knowledge to gain status."
"He teams up with Maeve, a whip-smart bad-girl, and together they set up an underground sex therapy clinic to deal with their fellow students’ weird and wonderful problems."
"Through his analysis of teenage sexuality, Otis realizes he may need some therapy of his own."
Asa Butterfield (Merlin) will take on the role of Otis Milburn, while Gillian Anderson (The X-Files) will play his sex therapist mother, Jean.
With everyone at the school learning about Jean's profession, well, it's refreshing that Otis is using it to his advantage instead of becoming a pariah.
Netflix previously revealed the show's eight-part first season will get underway Friday, January 11.
