Helio Castroneves Favored to Win Dancing with the Stars

We know Josie Maran won't be winning this year's Dancing with the Stars. But which celebrity will come out on top?

Johnny Avello, the Director of Race and Sports Operations at the Wynn Las Vegas, has posted odds on the eventual winner, following the fifth season premiere last week.

For Dancing with the Stars, Avello evaluates the first performances of the season, while factoring in variables such as how big a fan base each contestant boasts and if those fan bases match up with the show's viewer demographics, as well as if the contestants have any sort of dance-related experience.

"After they dance, I adjust right then, and so I predict right then who goes off that week," says Avello, who accurately predicted that model Josie Maran would be the first to leave last week. And who's the biggest surprise among the competitors so far? Cheetah Girl Sabrina Bryan.

"The big move was that Sabrina Bryan, who I had 20 to 1 initially, has now been moved to 7 to 1. She's now the fourth choice," says Avello, who will update the odds after watching each week's performance show throughout the season. "She did a great job. She's like a pro out there."

Helio Castroneves and Julianne Hough

After week one, here are Avello's odds-on favorites to win the DWTS competition:
Helio Castroneves: 4 to 1
Melanie Brown: 5 to 1
Albert Reed: 6 to 1
Sabrina Bryan: 7 to 1
Jane Seymour: 8 to 1
Cameron Mathison: 10 to 1
Floyd Mayweather: 15 to 1
Marie Osmond: 18 to 1
Mark Cuban: 20 to 1
Jennie Garth: 22 to 1
Wayne Newton: 25 to 1
