Glee Ratings: Something to Sing About

at .

Cheer up, Rachel Berry.

We know you ended last night's episode of Glee with a heartbreaking rendition of Rihanna's "Take a Bow" (that's what happens when your high school crush is taken... and you can sing really well), but here's some good news:

The second installment of this hour-long musical comedy earned 7.3 million viewers, the most among the coveted 18 to 49 year-old demographic.

Glee Performance

Granted, Fox programmed was aided by the decision of ABC, NBC and CBS to cover President Obama's health care speech to Congress, which spilled into the 9 p.m. hour and provided Glee with a head start.

But can you blame the network? Would you rather hear about public options and tort reform, or hear the cast rap its own version of Gold Digger?
