As this preview teases, the final season of Smallville is preparing to take off. Mark your calendars for September 24.

One of the most anticipated developments on the show will be the return of John Schneider as Jonathan Kent, a reprisal fans won't need to wait very long to see: this character is back for the season premiere, "Lazarus."
