Dan Harmon Apologizes for Chevy Chase Voicemail Leak

at .

While Community fans wait until tomorrow night's episode to discover whether or not Troy and Abed will make up as friends, we have an update on the real-life feud that is threatening to result in the departure of Chevy Chase from the series.

As previously reported, Chase stormed off the set last month, resulting in an angry toast from the creator at the season three wrap party... an profane-laced voicemail left by the actor... and then the playing of that voicemail by Harmon in front of 150 people at a Los Angeles Comedy Club.

For that final act, Harmon has issued an apology on his website.

Cowboy Pierce

"I was airing my dirty laundry for a chuckle," Harmon writes. "That was a dumb, unclassy, inconsiderate move on my part. I’m very sorry it’s reflecting poorly on the show."

You can read Harmon's full letter on his Tumblr page.

Chase is yet to respond to the apology, while the fate of Pierce remains unknown. Then again, the same can be said for the fate of Community.

If the sitcom does get renewed, would you care if Pierce returns?
