SPOILER ALERT: Rayna James is not going to die.
Connie Britton's lead character will survive the car accident that concluded Nashville Season 1, but not without a very close call, as the first official trailer for Nashville Season 2 makes clear.
In it, we see Rayna flat-lining, along with a very concerned Deacon and an equally concerned Juliette... for a very different reason.
Now I've gotta compete with a saint in a coma, she says, as previous reports have indicated that Rayna's near-death experience will cause a sky-rocket in her record sales, which lead to a wooing from an executive played by Oliver Hudson.
