TV Ratings Report: Did Fox Rake It In?

at .

FOX rode American Idol to a Thursday night ratings victory, albeit a narrow one and while CBS was in rerun mode. Rake premiered to less than stellar numbers.

For the night, FOX averaged a 2.5 rating among adults 18-49 and 9.6 million viewers. CBS was second (1.9, 7.8 million), followed by ABC (1.1, 3.9 million.

NBC (1.0, 3.2 million) and the CW (0.9, 2.2 million) finished fourth and fifth.

While CBS aired no original programming, it still averaged the most overall viewers at various points throughout the evening, which says a lot ... about Idol.
