Days of Our Lives Recap: John Remembers Everything!

at .

Things came to a head for Theresa on this week's Days of Our Lives as John remembered who smacked him in the head with that fireplace poker. Will John tell Brady the truth and will Brady actually believe him?

It was a nice change of pace to see the family getting alone. Eric and Brady had their first brotherly scene in months and Marlena and John weren't the snarky, cold-hearted couple we've been forced to endure over the last year. Even Eric and Sami had a wonderful twin scene this week and after dealing with both Kristen and her mother-in-law I'm sure Sami needed to hear how much her brother loved. her.

Watch Susan Banks and Sami interact was one of the highlights of the week as Susan was quick to bring up Sami's past in this Days of Our Lives quote

Susan Banks: Seems like just yesterday you were strapped to an electric chair just waiting to fry for killing someone, huh?
Sami: Well, it was a lethal injection but I was totally innocent.
Susan: Imagine that.

Even EJ and Nicole were civil to one another and I've always loved these two when they aren't trying to kill one another. As was said, they've been through the wars with one another. EJ definitely has a type and it's smart, crazy women with no boundaries.

I was just as perplexed as EJ on why Kate suddenly hated him so much. Is it misplaced anger towards Stefano? Is she simply angry because she felt as though it were she and Sami against the world and now that's changed? No matter what the reason, Kate seems to be reveling in the fact that Stefano plans to make EJ pay.

Kristen's not much happier with her brother but she seemed more interested in Daniel and Theresa. And as much as Daniel called Kristen the zombie that never dies, he may hate Theresa more. Is he willing to team up with Kristen in order to take Theresa down? Now that John has remembered the truth, will he have to?

Salem certainly has no shortage of crazy, evil woman. Take Eve. I had been looking forward to her return but her hatred of Jennifer has gotten so over the top that I'm really growing tired of her tirades.

I was a huge fan of Jack Devereaux and he was far from perfect but hearing Eve call him a pathological liar and Jennifer his human doormat made me want to smack her too. I love that the show is diving into this character's history but it would have been so much more entertaining to have Jack around to answer for it all instead of his family dealing with the memory.

One of the best scenes of the week was Hope telling Victor and Maggie that she's divorcing Bo and beginning to date Aidan. Victor was wonderful in those scenes. Bo has deserted his family and Hope has the right to move on. As he said, "no one should have to live their life in limbo," which is what Hope has been doing for a long time now.

Victor even went to Caroline to try and smooth things over with her. He obviously cares a great deal about both of these women and I loved how Victor was there to support both of them. Something tells me Hope is going to need all of the help she can get when she has to tell Ciara she's divorcing her Daddy!

The low point of the week was Abigail and Ben who went to a hotel to share their first love scene, unfortunately I really don't feel much love there. More like they're checking off boxes on what they should do next to make this a real relationship. Instead of romantic and heartfelt their time together felt mediocre and boring.
