It was more than an ABC marking campaign. It was how viewers felt on the first night of February Sweep, as the return of Grey's Anatomy Season 11 earned the series 8.6 million total viewers, along with a 2.7 rating among 18-49-year olds.

Elsewhere, Scandal (10.4 million/3.6) also returned solidly, drawing its biggest audience since the Scandal Season 4 premiere.

Oddly enough, How to Get Away With Murder (9.1 million/3.0) was down from its previous new episode.
