The casting rumors are over.
Now the hype can officially begin.
Following months of chatter, HBO confirmed many weeks ago that Colin Farrell, Vince Vaughn, Rachel McAdams and Taylor Kitsch will anchor the cast of True Detective Season 2.
And now the cable network has given viewers their first look at these actors in action, courtesy of a 60-second teaser:
Looks like everyone will be as happy-go-lucky on Season 2 as Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey were on True Detective Season 1, huh?
New episodes of this epic drama will kick off on June 21, with a bizarre murder bringing together a trio of law enforcement officers and a career criminal.
According to an HBO press release, Farrell will play Ray Velcoro, a compromised detective in the all-industrial City of Vinci, LA County.
Vaughn will portray Frank Semyon, a criminal and entrepreneur in danger of losing his life’s work.
McAdams will be Ani Bezzerides, a Ventura County Sheriff’s detective often at odds with the system she serves.
Taylor Kitsch is on board as Paul Woodrugh, a war veteran and motorcycle cop for the California Highway Patrol.
