Transparent Season 2 Spoiler Alert!
The cast and creator behind Amazon's Emmy-nominated drama came together during a panel discussion in front of the Television Critics Association in July, giving reporters an early look at new episodes to come and offering up a few tidbits about what's on tap when the series returns on December 4.
So while we encourage readers to sign up for Amazon Prime in order to watch Jeffrey Tambor and company in heartwarming action, here's a look at what we learned from the show's TCA Q&A:
1. Who's in Charge?
Creator Jill Solloway, of course. But she said she has hired a new transgender writer and transgender director because "having trans writers and directors is important. Trans people want to tell their own stories."
2. Wedding on the Way!
Yup, Sarah and Tammy are getting married. But Amy Landecker teases that this union will only complicate things, with a sneak peek showing Tammy falling off the wagon.
3. Baby to Be on Board!
Josh will make amends with Rabbi Raquel… and they’re having a child! But Jay Duplass warns that his character will go "to a very dark place."
4. Who's Getting It On?
Maura and Shelley?!? Yup. The preview gave us a look at a foot massage and some writhing in a bathtub, along with Ali asking of her parents: "So, are you guys lesbians now?"
