Forgive the obvious pun here, but Supergirl got off to a high-flying start on Monday evening.
The Melissa Benoist-anchored drama drew 12.9 million total viewers, along with a 3.2 rating among 18-49-year olds.
Both these figures marked high water marks for any fall series to debut on broadcast television this year.
With these numbers, Supergirl Season 1 Episode 1 soared past Blindspot (10.6 million/3.1 rating) and Life in Pieces (11.3 million/2.6 rating) as the most-watched premiere of the fall.
