TV Ratings Report: Star Premieres Well Out of Empire

Fox got some good news with the launch of Star.
Fox: Empire (7.6 million/2.7 rating) rebounded from last week's series low slightly, while the premiere of Star (6.7 million/2.2) secured solid ratings.
CBS: Survivor (9.1 million/2.0 rating) closed out Season 33 with solid ratings, down slightly vs. its last finale. The Reunion Special (6.7 million/1.4 rating) pulled in solid ratings in the hour.
ABC: The Goldbergs (6.1 million/1.7 rating), Speechless (5.4 million/1.6 rating), Black-ish (5.5 million/1.6 rating) and Designated Survivor (6.2 million/1.2 rating) perked up, but Modern Family (6.8 million/2.0 rating) was down.
NBC: It was A Pentatonix Christmas (7.5 million/1.4 rating) and SNL Christmas 2016 (5.8 million/1.5 rating) on the menu.
The CW: It was Top 12 Greatest Christmas Movies of All Time (1.3 million/0.3 rating) and an encore of Victoria's Secret Fashion Show (1 million/0.3 rating).
