Emma will be trying to get back to her family on Once Upon a Time Season 6 Episode 11.
Trapped in the Wish Realm created by the Evil Queen, Emma's surrounded by characters resembling her loved ones. But she wants the real versions, which means finding a way home.
Separating families, true loves, and friends is nothing new for Once Upon a Time. The theme is built into the fabric of the show, which started with Snow and Charming sending baby Emma through a portal.
Since then, we've seen characters doing everything in their power to reunite with the people who matter most. And we've cheered, cried, and sat on the edge of our seats through all of them.

1. The Charming Family - Once Upon a Time
Shortly after the original Dark Curse broke, Emma and Snow were transported to the Enchanted Forest. David stepped up to lead the town and take care of Henry as they searched for a way to reunite their family.
2. Rumplestiltskin and Baelfire - Once Upon a Time
When asked to choose between his powers and his son, Rumple chose wrong. He regretted it instantly, and vowed to get his son back at any cost. Unfortunately, things didn't work out the way he'd hoped.
3. Emma and Killian - Once Upon a Time
True love always wins. But sometimes it has to fight against curses, memory loss, and a trip to the Underworld. We're partial to the first time the two were separated, and Killian traded his ship for a magic bean to New York City. He managed to convince the skeptical savior to trust him enough to take a memory potion.
4. Ariel and Prince Eric - Once Upon a Time
The first time we met the little mermaid, she was missing her voice and her prince thanks to Regina. She fought to get back to her true love. And then they were separated once more when Blackbeard kidnapped him. But a determined Ariel never gave up until they were reunited.
5. Neal and his family - Once Upon a Time
After declaring his love for Emma, an injured Neal fell through a portal to the Enchanted Forest. Once he learned Henry had been kidnapped, he found a way to Neverland. Not only did he reunite with his son, he started the path toward peace with his father.
6. Henry and his family - Once Upon a Time
Henry's the glue that holds everyone together. And we're not just saying that because he has so many relatives. At the end of Season 2, Henry was kidnapped and taken to Neverland. His family banded together for the first time to rescue him from Peter Pan. Who turned out to be his great-grandfather.
7. Belle and Rumple - Once Upon a Time
We've lost count of how many times these two have been separated, either by choice, curse, or terrible luck. Belle's been held hostage in a mental hospital, Rumple's died, ventured to Neverland, and been kidnapped by the Wicked Witch. And that was just in the first three seasons!
8. Regina and Henry - Once Upon a Time
When Pan's curse threatened to destroy all of their lives, Regina made the ultimate sacrifice. She undid her original curse, which wiped Storybrooke off the map. That meant saying goodbye to her son. Thankfully, the separation only lasted a year. Still enough time to break our hearts.
9. Marco and Pinocchio - Once Upon a Time
Snow and Charming weren't the only ones who said goodbye to their child when the Dark Curse ravaged the Enchanted Forest. Marco hid his son in the wardrobe with Emma. After a trying existence as August, a spell returned him to his younger form.
10. Elsa and Anna - Once Upon a Time
Frozen fever swept into Storybrooke when Emma and Killian accidentally transported an imprisoned Elsa to Storybrooke. The queen was on a mission to save her sister. With some help from the savior, the sisters were reunited in a beautiful moment.
11. Regina and Robin - Once Upon a Time
Soulmate status didn't stop Robin from doing the right thing and leaving Storybrooke with his family. A heartbroken Regina understood why he had to leave. But once they discovered Marian was really Zelena in disguise, the couple reunited. Sadly, Robin died saving Regina the following season.
12. Maleficent and Lily - Once Upon a Time
In one of the strangest stories the show's told, Snow and Charming cursed Maleficent's dragon egg to darkness to keep it from their baby. Maleficent vowed revenge after her baby fell into a portal. That baby grew up to be Lily, a onetime friend of Emma's. The savior brought Lily to Storybrooke, giving Maleficent a chance with her daughter.
13. Jasmine and Aladdin - Once Upon a Time
Like Emma, Aladdin was a savior. He cut away that part of himself and disappeared. Jasmine's been trying to find him ever since while trapped in the Land of Untold Stories. They've since been reunited, but there are quite a few obstacles in their way on the path to a happy ending.
