Turns out, Fox managed to eke out a victory with its new reality line-up.
Fox: Beat Shazam (3.6 million/1.2 rating) and Love Connection (3.4 million/1.1 rating) each performed solidly.
NBC: It was American Ninja Warrior (4.2 million/1.1 rating), Running Wild With Bear Grylls (3.9 million/0.9 rating) and Red Nose Day (2.7 million/0.7 rating).
ABC: It was encores of The Goldbergs (2.6 million/0.6 rating), American Housewife (2.3 million/0.5 rating), Modern Family (2.6 million/0.7 rating), Black-ish (2.4 million/0.6 rating) and Speechless (2.1 million/0.5 rating).
CBS: It was encores of The Big Bang Theory (6.4 million/0.9 rating), Superior Donuts (4.5 million/0.6 rating), Mom (4 million/0.6 rating) and Life In Pieces (3.4 million/0.6 rating), while The Amazing Race (3.6 million/0.6 rating) slipped to lows.
The CW: Encores of Supernatural (0.7 million/0.2 rating) filled the night.
