With six cast members departing Once Upon a Time, it was apparent the show was in need of some fresh faces for the new season.
Thanks to TV Line, we have new casting scoop about who will be making their way to the drama series.
Gabrielle Anwar (Burn Notice) and Dania Ramirez (Devious Maids) have been added as series regulars.
Meanwhile, Adelaide Kane (Reign), Mekia Cox (Chicago Med) and Rose Reynolds (Poldark) have also been added, but are currently tapped to recur.
There is potential for the three newbies to become series regulars down the line, but much of it will likely hinge on whether fans connect with the rebooted version of the series.
Nothing has been revealed about who the new additions will be playing, but the report states we should find out in the coming weeks.
Once Upon a Time bosses recently made the bold decision to reboot, and that paved the way for the departures of regulars, Jennifer Morrison, Ginnifer Goodwin, Josh Dallas, Emilie de Ravin, Jared Gilmore and Rebecca Mader.
As teased at the conclusion of Once Upon a Time Season 6, Season 7 will focus on a grown-up Henry Mills and his daughter Lucy.
They will join forces with The Evil Queen, Hook, and Rumple “on an epic quest to once again bring hope to their world and ours. Along the way, fairy tale characters new and old search for true love, find adventure and once again take sides in the struggle of good against evil, as classic tales are once more twisted and reimagined.”
As previously announced, the show is moving to Friday nights at 8/7c after losing more ground in the ratings.
Season 6 averaged 3.2 million viewers and a 0.9 rating. That figure represented a 35 percent decline vs. Once Upon a Time Season 5.
