Abigail’s life hung in the balance while Chad wondered if he’d killed Deimos. Joey was still guilt ridden over Ava’s murder as Tripp plotted Kayla's demise, and Marlena was kidnapped yet again!

Our TV Fanatics Jack Ori and Christine Orlando are joined by Kathy and Kierstin from MyHourglass a Days of Our Lives fan forum to debate who really killed Deimos, if Ava’s death was justifiable, and who Eric should be paired with on Days of Our Lives. 

Who do you think really killed Deimos?

Jack: I have no idea and at this point I really don't care. The suspects were all drugged against their will so there was no criminal responsibility.

Let's move on. (And if we must have a culprit, how about Tripp so we can get rid of him?)

Kathy:  I'm sure everyone under suspicion now are red herrings. I am leaning towards Abigail killing Deimos while drugged. My second suspect is Raines.

Kierstin: I believe it was Abigail, because that would be why Chad was wiping the fingerprints off of the knife to protect her.

Christine: It’s got to be either Abigail or Gabi, and most likely Abigail. That’s the one reason where Chad wiping off the knife makes sense.

But to be honest, anyone who stabbed Deimos would have his blood on them, so this whole storyline is pretty silly. 

Steve, Kayla, and Roman keep insisting that Joey was justified in killing Ava. Do you think he was?

Jack: Nope. Diminished capacity, maybe but Ava manipulating him is not a justification for murder.

Kathy: Joey was not justified in killing Ava. I don't like his family making excuses for him and covering for his crime. Even Joey doesn't buy it, he is so riddled with guilt.

Kierstin: No, because at the time Ava was in a hospital bed, defenseless. I think that was excessive.

Christine: Not at all. Like Kierstin said, Ava was defenseless at the time. I don’t even think Joey did it because he feared what she’d do to his family; I just think he was hurt and furious that she’d played him and made him think she loved him and he lashed out in the most extreme way.

Hattie kidnapped Marlena and had her committed. Is this fun, screwball comedy, a dramatic kidnapping story, or does it simply make you want to fast forward?

Jack: I'm enjoying the comedy even though this story is ridiculous and Marlena should be fitted with a GPS tracker since she gets kidnapped so often.

Kathy: I am not the best person to judge since Marlena is my least favorite Days character and seeing double only makes it worse. I do like the snarky comments Hattie sends in Marlena's direction. I am looking forward to seeing Bonnie's part in the plan.

Kierstin: I don't think it's that exciting of a storyline. It does sort of seem like history repeating itself. 

Christine: Oye! This is my least favorite story on the show right now. I just think it’s annoying nonsense and I generally want to fast forward through those scenes. 

Would you prefer to see Eric romantically paired with Nicole, Jennifer, someone else, or no one at all?

Jack: Eric and Eve is my dream couple. I was over Eric/Nicole years ago and Eric and Jennifer seem more like best buds than lovers to me.

Kathy: I like Eric and Jennifer together. They have both had a lot of struggles in life and I think they could be good for each other.

Kierstin: I would prefer to see Eric romantically paired with Nicole. They were each other's first love. It would be nice to see them together.

Christine: I’m not sure. Eric and Jennifer make a wonderful mature, honest couple, but I wish I felt more passion between them. 

I’m still nostalgic over Nicole and Eric’s first love story, but I think too much has happened and that Nicole is too morally challenged for them to ever be happy. 

But mostly I’d just like to see the show pick one couple and stick with them, because I like Eric and could probably enjoy him coupled with almost anyone if it was a well written story. 

What, if anything, disappointed you this week in Salem?

Jack: The Lani propping ruined the otherwise wonderful vigil scenes at the hospital. JJ needs to be decoupled from her and Jenn should have been worried about him drinking with her again, not cheering on this farce of a relationship. 

Also I'm not in the mood for Nicole and a stupid secret round 9 million.

Kathy: Nicole disappointed me when she decided not to tell Brady that she has forgiven Eric. She should just tell the truth and let Brady decide how he feels. Micromanaging the situation is only making it unnecessarily complicated.

Kierstin: Nothing in particular disappointed me this week.

Christine: Plenty! I’ll start with it looking as though Victor let Sonny sit in jail while he was responsible for having Deimos killed. I just hope it’s not true. 

Then there was JJ ripping into Chad for Abigail’s accident at the hospital. Will he ever stop blaming Chad for being a Dimera?

Tripp going off the deep end and trying to kill Kayla, coupled with Joey's family trying to convince him it was okay to kill Ava.

And finally there was the thousandth round of Nicole keeping stupid secrets. If the show is trying to bore me to death, this is a good way to do it. 

What was your favorite quote, scene, or storyline this week on Days of Our Lives?

Jack: I loved all the scenes at Abby's bedside, especially JJ sharing his memory of her comforting him during a storm when he was little and Chad finally declaring his love for Abigail.

Kathy: My favorite scene was the Maggie and Nicole conversation. I also liked all of Jennifer's scenes this week.

Kierstin: My favorite storyline this week was Eric and Nicole's storyline.

Christine: Chad finally declaring his love for Abigail by her bedside. I felt bad for Gabi but at least she can finally move on. 

Also, Eric coming to the hospital to comfort Jennifer. Even if they aren’t a couple, that’s what friends do, and it was clear how grateful she was to have him there.
