According to TV Line, Fox has handed out an order for seven additional episodes of The Mick Season 2. That means the season will span 20 episodes.
The comedy stars Kaitlin Olson as Mackenzie "Mickey" Molng, a woman who is tasked with becoming the parental figure to her niece and nephews when her estranged sister and her husband are arrested by the FBI.
The main issue for Mickey is that she can barely look after herself, so she finds herself taking on the challenge.
Despite everyone being at odds initially, they manage to craft a family bond that nobody thought was possible.
The Mick Season 2 has focused on how the family reacts to the loss of the mansion and whether they can find somewhere else to call home.
The show has had a creative surge in Season 2, so the news that more episodes are on the way is music to our ears.
Kaitlin Olson has proven she is one of the best comedy actresses around.
The Mick has been performing decently for Fox in the ratings this season. It is currently averaging 2.4 million viewers and a 0.8 rating among adults 18-49.
The show is boosted almost 60 percent when live + 7 ratings are factored in.
The series returns tonight after a brief hiatus.
The episode finds Mickey trying to prove to Ben that he is a perfectly functioning kid and does not require medication to keep him focused.
