TV Ratings Report: Bachelor in Paradise Returns Steady

at .  Updated at .

Bachelor in Paradise is still a solid late summer option for ABC.

The fifth season of the dating series secured 3.8 million viewers and a 1.1 rating in the all-important 18-49 demo.

This is right on par with last year's first Tuesday edition, and when you consider the controversy that surrounded that season, this is a positive result.

Leading out of that, Castaways debuted with 3.2 million viewers and a 0.7 rating. This gave the network its best summer launch in the slot in over two years.

The demo tally may have been on the soft side, but for a summer reality series, it is solid.

Over on NBC, America's Got Talent remained dominant but slipped to 10.9 million viewers and a 1.9 rating.

Making it slipped 15 percent week-to-week to 4.4 million viewers and a 1.0 rating.

The 100 concluded Season 5 Tuesday night with its best audience since May, and right on par with its season average in the demo.

It had 0.9 million viewers and a 0.3 rating. As for The Outpost, the co-production spiked a tenth to 0.6 million viewers and a 0.2 rating.

The new series is not performing great by any stretch of the imagination, but it performs well internationally, it could be a cheap show for the young-skewing network to keep around.

Beat Shazam took a hit for Fox with 2.2 million viewers and a 0.6 rating, while Love Connection remained out of the competitive loop with 1.4 million viewers and a 0.4 rating.
