The reaction to Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 4 has been polarizing, to say the least.
With two big deaths, some dumb decisions from some of the characters, and a less than exciting conclusion, many fans were left feeling short-changed by "The Last of the Starks."
Even more concerning, there was a coffee cup which seemingly resembled a Starbucks one on a table in front of Daenerys (Emilia Clarke).
Many viewers wondered whether this was a deliberate occurrence because it just so happened during the scene that creators, David Benioff and D. B. Weiss appeared in as Wildlings.
Now, HBO has opened up about the incident, and the response is as hilarious as you would imagine.
“The latte that appeared in the episode was a mistake,” HBO said in a statement. “Daenerys had ordered an herbal tea.”
As for Starbucks, well the coffee chain also had a comical response.
"TBH we're surprised she didn't order a Dragon Drink," read the post on Twitter account for Starbucks.
It's bizarre that a show with hefty production values would make this type of error, to begin with,.
When you think about it, the scenes are viewed by a wealth of people before making it to the air.
That's likely what irked most of the viewers, especially when you consider the fact that they waited almost two years for the final season.
It remains to be seen whether there will be more coffee cups showing up in Westeros, but with two episodes left, anything can happen.
