If you watch Game of Thrones online, you know that Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 6 -- the series finale -- found Jon Snow making the decision to kill his lover, Daenery Targaryen.

He did so while they were embracing, so it went down as one of the most controversial moments of the entire series.

Many fans were confused about the way the Dragon Queen was killed off, and more importantly that it was her lover/nephew who carried out the brutal deed.

Actors Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke, who play Jon and Daenerys, were similarly stunned during the table read when they learned about the twist of fate.

During the HBO documentary, the scene description is read aloud, and Harington is gobsmacked when he learns what Jon does.

Harington puts his hand over his mouth and pushes his chair back from the table. He shares a glance with Clarke, who puts on a much braver face, but slips into her chair.

When people depart the table read, Harington and Clarke just sit there, still stunned by the series-changing development.

Fans had some words about the scene.

One person even felt that the behind the scenes moments were more heartbreaking than the scene itself.

The series finale was marred by controversy thanks to questionable decisions from the characters.

As such, the episode currently has a 48% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
