Jess learns he’s not going to graduate. Rory, Jess, Dean and Lindsay attend a party where Lane’s band is playing.
Lane Kim is one of Rory’s friends from Stars Hollow High. Though Lane’s father is never seen in the series, her mother often is, and they are both portrayed to be very over-protectived of her. She’s into rock music, despite her parents only wanting her to listen to Christain music. Lane eventually joins a band and ends up marrying a bandmate, Zach, and having twins with him.

When Jess doesn’t call, Rory goes to a hockey game with Dean and his new girlfriend; Emily catches Trix making out with a man.
Paris gets a boyfriend and stops acting like herself; Lorelai gives Emily tips on coping with Richard’s mother.

Rory, in an attempt to tutor Jess, ends up with a fractured wrist when he crashes her car.
