Maxine Roby is the head of the Las Vegas Crime lab. She teams up with Catherine, but it is still her lab.

In Season 2, the series explored more about Max's personal life how her relationship with her ex-husband and her son was and how they both checked on her when she was hurt.

Max is the closest thing Josh has to family, so their relationship was affected when he went rogue.
