Mickey Bolitar is about to embark on a new life, whether he likes it or not.

Mickey's mother is in rehab, and his father died suddenly, so he's now living with his annoying aunt and attending a new school in New Jersey. But when a creepy old woman tells Mickey that his father isn't dead, he begins to think he might be losing his mind.

With the help of his friends, Spoon and Ema, Mickey pulls back the sleepy facade of this small town to reveal a dark underground that may hold the answers to disappearances, deaths, and even Mickey’s own complex family history.
