Tyler Townsend is Maddie and Bill's oldest son and was the star pitcher of his school team until he injured his arm in a fight defending his younger brother Kyle.

Tyler was the most affected by his parent's divorce and felt the only way he connected to his dad was through sports. He's very protective of his mom.
