Addison and Richard say their goodbyes as the former leaves Seattle Grace, where she had been under his tutelage, for the Oceanside Wellness Center in California. It's a sad day, but it was a necessary one for Addison.

Addison speaks with Dr. Richard Webber, Chief of Surgery at Seattle Grace, about her desire to depart for California - for good this time - in the series premiere of Private Practice.

Addison and her friends from med school, Naomi (Audra McDonald) and Sam Bennett (Taye Diggs). Those two are divorced but still work together and get along.
