When Aubry is taken into custody she immediately asks for a psych evaluation. When the doctor comes in to evaluate her, Aubry maintains her stories about being sexually abused and being the one who really did kill Matt. The doctor sees right through Aubry is convinced Aubry is just a selfish girl who is delusional and believes the lies she tells and goes further by saying Aubry medicates herself with drugs so she can avoid the real truth in her life. When they get the results, they are surprised to learn Aubry is evaluated as sane, but the doctor wants to do more tests on her. Later, while in court, Aubry goes in front of a judge and pleads guilty. Meanwhile, Carter is released from prison but isn't made aware of what Aubry has done. After Alonzo sells his business he's able to get a better lawyer for Tony who is able to get them a court date in front of a family judge because they're more lenient. In court, Tony's family comes together and speaks up for him. Jenny gives a statement and admits that what Tony did was only particially his fault because he was protecting her. Jenny finally reveals it was her who was beat up by the guy Tony beat up and the only reason Tony went after him was because he thought he was protecting her. The judge takes mercy on Tony and lets him go.
