Eleanor gives her account and speaks about how she was thinking about the first child she had and her accident at the beach wasn't an accident but a suicide attempt. But when she learned she was dying, she wanted to live.

She was watching a cooking video and saw her child, the firstborn child she had and gave up.

Mabel is a food guru who speaks about cultures blending and food, but she gets challenged for her roots and her supposed ties to understanding indigenous cultures and foods despite not being part of them, or so she knows.

Mabel lives in Italy. After she gets challenged on air, she faces scrutiny and criticism on social media for being a privileged white woman.

Mabel spends dinner with her parents and brother Gio, and vents about what happened. Her parents support her, but her son callsher out for her privileges.

Gio shares that he doesn't want to go to University and has some tensions with his mother and doesn't feel like there's room for him.

James, her fellow guest calls Mabel and asks her to dinner.

Mabel goes out with James after talking to her mother. She speaks about how drawn she was the spices and flavors unlike the standard British food.

Charles calls her and tells her that he was looking for her on behalf of his client, which seems to surprise Mabel.

Charles outs the fact that she was adopted, assuming that she at least knew that.

Benny and Byron processes the news of having another sibling, and Bennyf eels that she  didn't connect with her mother as much because Eleanor was thinking about her first daughter.

They sympathize with Mabel because they know she found out over the phone. And now they have to wait to see how she feels. They can't finish the last recording until Mabel decides if she wants to be a part of it or not.

Byron is angry about the whole thing and wants to reach out to Mabel to rush the process and Benny doesn't want to know anything about her so she doesn't feel real.

Benny talks to Simon. He's still talking to her about selling their piece of art. Benny still doesn't want to do it, but he keeps trying to talk her into it. She says okay to selling it. She says she wants to see it one last time before they sell it.

Byron looks up things about Mabel, watching her cooking videos.

Mabel is shocked to pull up a picture of Eleanor and see that she's Black.

When she returns home she examines herself in the mirror more, pays attention to her skin color and her hair, considers how different she looks from her parents.

Byron's girlfiend comes to apologize for how testy she was with him and bringing up his parents.

His wife is the one who pieces together that Eleanor must've been pregnant resulting from her sexual assault.

Mark calls Byron to invite him last minute to a panel about diversity in STEM.

Lynette tells Byron that she needs him to be the man she feell in love with who fought for what he believed in rather that continously rolling over regarding how he's treated at work.

Someone calls Eleanor's phone, and Byron answers. It prompts him to look through the phnoe at her pictures and recent phone calls. Eleanor called Mabel multiple times.

Mabel goes out and then returns home. She wants to talk to her parents in the middle of the night. She asks them about when she was born.

Mabel confronted her parents about knowing who she was and having everyone lying to her.

Mabel blows up at her parents for robbing her of her identity. She wants to leave. Her mother told her that things were similar with Gio. Mabel goes to Gio to talk to him.

Benny goes to Steve's place to see the artwork they made and destroys it. But she freaks out when she hears SImon coming home. She calls her brother for help.

She goes off on Simon and walks out and he follows her and cries and begs for her forgiveness and wants her to still be with him or else he'll be a has-been or nothing.

Byron shows up for Benny and Steve calls Byron out. Byron beats Steve and the cops come. They have Byron at gunpoint.
