Mathilda goes into labor with Covey and calls out for Pearl's assistance while she's in the woods. Pearl helps her deliver there.

Mathilda names Covey after goddess of water and asks Pearl to be her godmother.

Eleanor is nearing the end of her life battling her cancer and searches and finds her Black Cake recipe. She wants to make one final cake, and Byron is there offering to help her.

The siblings cut into and are ready to share the cake when they deem the time is right but find a jar baked inside with a photo of their mother, father, and Bunny.

Benny searches for Bunny and learns that Benedetta/Bunny became the famous swimmer that they alawys dreamed to be.

They found something that was meant for Bunny. The siblings track Bunny down at a book signing and give her the zip drive that they found in the jar.

Bunny thought Covey was dead and is upset that Covey never told her she was alive. Benny can't accept that they don't know what happened to Little Man, and she wants to go to Jamaica after the funeral for answers.

Eleanor has a request for Bunny in the recording she leaves her, one last thing for her children.

Covey tells Bunny that there is still hope for her even if there may not be for her when she's married to Little Man.

Bunny reassures Covey that her father will come through because he loves her and always comes through for her when it counts.

Bunny goes to see Gibbs and demands to know what he intends to do to help Covey. Sheh calls him out for abandoning Covey.

Benny wants Byron to give a more authentic eulogy that honors Covey and acknowledges Mable.

Mabel is still lying to her son about where she is and what she's really doing in the States.

Byron talks to Lynette at his mother's funeral and she tells him that she's pregnant. Byron is excited about having a baby although Lynette is unsure about it and the state of their relationship.

She says she can't imagine what her life is like with a child.

Mabel shares that she was banned from her husband's funeral by his parents when she was still pregnant with her son.

Byron says that he's leaving the funeral and that he's done lying, he can't do it anymore.

Her lawyer can't seem to bring himself to lie about Eleanor either.

Bunny arrives to the funeral in time to see Byron leaving it as he heads to the ocean where his mother used to surf. She follows him there to talk.

Byron talks to Bunny about how angry he is with all of this.

She tells Byron about a Caribbean condition for grieving the dead, Nine night that happens on the ninth night after someone's death.

They gather for dinner and talking about memories.

Bunny shares how Covey made up for shutting her down after she admitted her love for her. She took her on a joy ride. Covey tells her that while it was dangerous, it's not wrong that Bunny had the feelings that she did and swears that she'll be a safe space for her.

Mabel shares that she's afraid to tell her son the truth about how she met his father and so much more.

Bunny shares what happened the wedding night and shares the full story.

Bunny finds Pearl using the sap from the toxic fruit in a night cap for Little Man to kill him.

Bunny is worried that Little Man will do something to Covey before he has that night cap. But they discuss the plans to get Covey off the island to London.

Bunny was waiting on Gibbs to come up with a better plan. Bunny realized the mistake she made in telling covey to bury her true feelings and self.

Bunny said she couldn't wait for Gibbs, so she found the toxin and spiked Little Man's drink.

Apparently, Covey realized it was Bunny, and that's why she kept her distance all those years to protect her.

Gibbs tells Covey that he showed up at the wedding reception and hoped to find a way to save her but she smiled when Little Man kissesd her and he thought she had moved on, so he left.

Byron reached out to the funeral director, and he, Benny, Bunny, and Mabel head there to say a final goodbye to Covey. He puts the wedding bands on her finger and kisses her forehead.

Benny talks to her and cries. puts a necklace in there with her. Mabel notes that they have the same hands and leaves a daffodil in there with her. And Bunny leaves a bracelet with her.

Benny pursues her art. Byron chooses to go forward with a discrimination suit.

Mabel returns home. She listens to Eleanor's audio again and Covey gave her all the information about who her father really is.
