When three prominent jewish men are murdered in seperate incidences but all by a lone gunman riding a motorcycle, the jewish community wants them to be declared hate crimes. Frank isn't so sure. Danny and Baez are on the case but there appears to be no connection between the victims until they uncover a malpractice case at a local hospital. Not only were all three vicitms involved but also a nurse whose testimony helped sway the verdict. Danny and Baez rush to find her before it's too late but she has a gun and shot her attacker before he could kill her.

Elsewhere, Linda is mugged while helping out at a mobile medical clinic in a bad area. Danny wants her to quit, Instead, Linda gets a permit and buys herself a gun. Later she finds her attacker but instead of pulling her weapon she calls 911 and has him arrested. She later tells Danny that she decided that carrying a gun is not for her.

Erin's big case falls apart when the gun in evidence turns out to have been switched and the culprit is someone from her own office.
