After spending several weeks sulking in his pajamas after getting kicked out of the 12th precinct, Castle has a surprise for Beckett. He got his Private Investigator's license online! Still, that doesn't mean he's allowed to work with Beckett but that's never stopped Castle. He'll perform his own parallel investigation to find the killer and solve the case. But who will solve the case first?
Not only does Castle have his P.I.'s license, he's also got his own office, which Beckett finds as she's tracking a suspect whom Castle has already found. The two leap frog one another to get information until they finally break down and decide to share information, which turns into foreplay for a whole lot more. Later, Castle is upset when Kate uses the information she learned during their "sharing" session to get a break in the case which she won't share with him. But leave it to Castle to find the key to the case in the form of Sparkles the dog.
