Castle premiered on ABC in March of 2009.

World-famous mystery author Richard Castle is creatively blocked after killing off Derrick Storm, the titular chacter of his best selling series of murder mystery novels.  When the murders from his books are being copied by a real life killer, Castle finds himself being hauled in for questioning by NYPD homicide Detective Kate Beckett.

Rick Castle ends up assisting in the investigation but continually gets under Beckett's skin. Once the initial case is solved, Castle finds he's inspired by both solving real crimes and Detective Beckett.

Nathan Fillion stars as Richard “Rick” Castle, a major player in the literary world who is used to woman asking for his signature on their chest. He's completely taken aback when Beckett is completely immune to his charms.

But after becoming involved in a real life murder mystery with Detective Kate Beckett played by Stana Katic, Castle can't get enough. After getting permission from the mayor of New York City, Castle begins shadowing Beckett on all of her cases…and starts writing a new series of books in which, much to her dismay, the main character is based on Kate. Chemistry ensues and crime solving has never been more fun!
