Chicago Justice Season 1 Episode 13 is about Stone's battle to get an unethical business tycoon behind bars for his son-in-law's murder.

When Antonio and Laura are called to the scene of a gruesome crane accident, it seems clear the crane operator was to blame. He has a history of drug use and his wife is protective and shuts down questioning when he is asked about his drug use. Furthermore, his thermos tests positive for cocaine.

However, it's quickly discovered that the crane was sabotaged and that the operator's drink was drugged without his knowledge to frame him for the accident. All evidence leads back to Frank Landis, a business tycoon who has had five bankruptcies and who always lands on his feet no matter how bad his business practices are.

Stone is determined to get Landis his just desserts, but Jeffries doesn't think it's worth it. Landis threatens Stone when he proceeds with the case. His influence over his family, especially the daughter who helped sabotage the crane and the attorney son who represents him, could present a real problem, but then Stone has an idea.
